I've recently been out exploring and walking the South West Coast Path and have been blown away by the dramatic scenery and beautiful villages that this region of the country has to offer. Following a recent BBC news article on TV about a digital walking guide on this popular stretch of coast, I bought this new piece of kit (£19.95) that's just been launched. Its a walking guide from The Virtual Book Company that's dedicated to the South West Coast Path and it's really worth shouting about. I'm not aware of any other walking guide that's like this one, combining DVD, TV, Internet, downloads, photography, maps and narrative, all perpetual and all at the click of a mouse! It even allows you to digitally 'fly-over' your chosen route so you can checkout the terrain, its suitability and where your best pub will be. Best thing is, it never goes out of date because it updates automatically from the internet, and provides you with up-to-the-moment weather and tidal information too. Put simply, Its Brilliant!
